It hasn’t even been a week since Glamour predicted that Hadid’s Aspen wardrobe would inspire a resurgence of tall Uggs in the new year, and we’ve already been proven correct. On December 29, the 29-year-old model paired her Classic Tall II Boots and black leggings with a luxe fur coat and quilted Chanel carryall. On January 7 Lawrence cosigned the return of calf-high shearling, reclaiming the style for millennials everywhere.
In her case, the 35-year-old mother of two paired her Classic Short II boots—which are 3.75 inches shorter than Hadid’s boots but still 4.5 inches taller than the previously favored Classic Ultra Minis—with a butter yellow robe coat and a croc-embossed burgundy bag. That’s a lot of trends for such an understated and comfortable look, but that’s what makes Lawrence the most adept on-the-go dresser in all of New York City.

So how do you style tall Uggs in 2026, à la Bella Hadid and Jennifer Lawrence?
While these might feel like completely different looks at first glance, Lawrence and Hadid adapted a similar two-step formula to suit their personal style.

In their own unique ways, Hadid and Lawrence both contrasted the laissez-faire wardrobe combo with elevated luxury pieces. While Hadid layered luxe fur over her black hoodie and leggings, Lawrence opted for a more streamlined wool coat.
And when it comes to the bag, you don’t need to spend all your money on a quilted Chanel hobo or The Row Lady Bag. All you need is a pop of color or texture to add intrigue and personality to your ensemble, as Hadid achieved with her silk red bandana. Take any textured bag you love and add a couple bag charms if you dare. We’re talking about styling Uggs here, so it’s really not the time to take dressing so seriously.
