Amanda Seyfried is putting her winter wardrobe to work in 2026—and teaching us a great packing hack in the process.
On the second day of the new year, the Golden Globe–winning actor (who is casually nominated for two different projects this weekend, btw) arrived at the Palm Springs International Film Festival in a perfect travel look that doesn't involve sweats. While there are countless ways to make loungewear look chic at the airport, a pair of loose denim and a cashmere sweater can be just as comfortable as any matching set without requiring an outfit change at the hotel.
Seyfried proved as much in a relaxed pair of straight-leg jeans with a white T-shirt and Reformation’s navy Jadey Cashmere Oversized V-Neck Sweater, topping off the effortless look with sneakers and every celeb’s go-to finishing touch: a baseball cap.
As if this look wasn't a strong enough lesson in travel dressing, the Housemaid star also demonstrated how to get the most out of an investment purchase if you’re living out of a carry-on. On January 7, she arrived at a Chanel event at Chateau Marmont—yes, the fancy Hollywood party that Heated Rivalry star Connor Storrie also attended—wearing the very same Reformation sweater with a pair of black pumps and slouchy shoulder bag.
The sweater itself is a luxurious yet sustainable blend of 95% recycled cashmere and 5% wool, retailing for $298 on the Reformation website. And if you’re going to spend upwards of $300 on a sweater, you might as well get good use out of it!
Of course, Seyfried’s travel and leisure looks are more than a demonstration of the sweater’s versatility; they’re also a proof of concept for anyone looking to pack light on their next vacation or work trip. Maybe it’s time to leave the bulky hoodie behind and wear your best look on the plane—especially if it’s cashmere.
