As a leggy almost-six-foot-tall model, Gigi Hadid certainly needs no help showing off her ankles, but she’s still going to make darn sure we see them, even if she’s just running to or from the airport (JFK, specifically). During her latest outing—with boyfriend Bradley Cooper—the cashmere-business owner opted for light-wash denim jeans that ended just above her ankle, and to make them even shorter, she added the rare single cuff.
I couldn’t help but wonder: Is this a new trend we should try? And do supermodels have to take their shoes off at TSA?
In addition to the subtly distressed denim, the outfit—which you can see here—includes the Guest in Residence Grizzly Cashmere Cardigan ($595) worn over a plain white tee; Miu Miu Ruches Loafers ($1,070), with socks (!); and the Liffner Pillow Hobo Bag ($650). Hadid accessorized with a few chain necklaces and sunglasses, her hair pulled back into a classic half-up, half-down style.
The epitome of model-off-duty style when she’s, well, a model off-duty, Gigi Hadid always finds little ways to elevate the most casual looks so she never has to “dress up” when she’s out and about. She can make sweatpants appropriate for date night. She’s a bona fide loafer aficionado. Shower shoes and a minidress? Sure, why not. She even had us thinking about the mesh-ballet-flat micro-trend.
Back to the topic at hand, we don’t know where GiDid and BCoops were headed, but probably someplace very nice with high-thread-count sheets and towels made of lambswool, and no one ever has to sneeze. BRB, cuffing my pants.
