Just when we think we’re over our ’90s and early-’00s nostalgia, Hailey Bieber and Victoria’s Secret bring us an image that’s the perfect nod to the the brand’s Gisele Bündchen days. Best of all, it’s a picture that hasn’t been re-created a thousand times and a thousand ways. It’s almost…fresh?
To kick off their Valentine’s Day campaign, the shopping mall mainstay hired Bieber for a campaign that includes a playful image of the model painting her toenails while sitting in the bottom drawer of a bureau. It pays homage to the cover of a 2001 catalog advertising a line of VS fragrances in which Bündchen poses the same way. Check out the original picture here, and note that the Victoria’s Secret Instagram account commented with an eyes emoji and the letter-heart emoji.
The A Very VS Valentine’s campaign will also star Isabeli Fontana, Maty Fall Diba, and Alexis Carrington and features items like bras, panties, lingerie, and pajamas, all with roses and hearts, which is perfect for the occasion, but that’s why there are no fragrances on display as in the original image, in case you were wondering. There are Valentine’s-y fragrance mists available online, though, if you are jonesing for a nice smell.
Last year Mrs. Bieber celebrated V-day with a cozy night at home with her husband, Justin, and documented it on Instagram. She wore what looks like a comfy cotton set: bright red briefs and a cropped sweater.

For her personal style, though, Hailey Bieber has lately been into neither hearts nor florals nor reds. She’s on a serious animal-print kick, with a cheetah-print monokini, cheetah nails (both hand and foot), and tiger-print pants, plus a leopard jacket here and a spotted bag there.
