The nipple orgasm—or nipplegasm, as it is called—sometimes seems a bit of sex urban legend. But speaking as a neuroscientist, I can confirm, it’s very much real. And I’m here to tell you how to orgasm through stimulation of the nipple. I’ll also explain the science behind the nipplegasm in order to help you explore all the powerful pleasures nipple stimulation can provide. Not everyone can orgasm from nipple stimulation alone, but we all benefit from understanding how it ramps up sensations, intensifies orgasms, and leads to more sexual pleasure.

But first, welcome back to the Ask Dr. Nan column. For our newest readers, I’m Dr. Nan, a psychotherapist, certified sex therapist, and neuroscientist, here to address your pressing questions about sex, love, and pleasure. My philosophy—informed by three decades of practice as a psychotherapist coupled with a dozen years of conducting research on the neuroscience of sex and pleasure—is that pleasure is a necessity for our health and well-being. It’s something I talk about a lot in my new book Why Good Sex Matters and here in my Glamour column.
