When you're a member of the British monarchy, major life events are rarely taken lightly. (See last year's royal wedding and Prince Louis' christening for proof.) Apparently this is an unwritten rule that also applies to birthdays: Just ask Kate Middleton, who rang in her 37th year on not one, but two separate occasions over the past week—and honestly, we're here for both of them.

On Wednesday (January 9), her actual birthday, Middleton reportedly spent the day at home in Kensington Palace keeping it chill with school drop-offs and pickups. Later in the day, the Duchess of Cambridge was joined by her Duke when he returned from an official engagement commemorating the 30th anniversary of London's Air Ambulance. According to Vanity Fair, Prince William made it home just in time to celebrate with his wife and the kids—before they all continued the day with a tea party for Kate at the palace.
