Kate Middleton Just Dyed Her Hair Even Blonder

There are few heads of hair on the planet more discussed, dissected, and photographed than Kate Middleton’s. Long before she was the Duchess of Cambridge and the future queen consort, Prince William’s then girlfriend and enviable long, brown hair became a staple in the world press.

Since then, royal watchers (and beauty fans) have clocked every style and color change Middleton has made. Her 2016 bangs were hotly debated (I loved them and sort of wish they’d make a comeback) and some theorize that certain changes in her hair indicate a pregnancy. Lately she seems to be having fun playing with her color.

For comparison’s sake, here’s what Middleton’s hair looked like last week during an event she attended with William at the Aga Khan Centre, ahead of their royal tour in Pakistan on October 14.

Middleton’s color was definitely more brunette when attended she Wimbledon with her sister-in-law Meghan Markle this summer.

Please, Kate: Won’t you share your secrets with us? Maybe Meghan can fire up The Tig again, but make it royal—and you can both divulge all your beauty secrets? Maybe the queen won’t even care? (JK: This is never happening.) In the meantime I’m guessing these photos will end up in the hands of colorists across the globe as clients bring them in for inspiration.
