Keanu Reeves and Alexandra Grant’s Hollywood love story is one for the books…literally.
Though the 61-year-old Matrix actor has reportedly been dating the 52-year-old visual artist since 2019, the pair were friends and colleagues for at least eight years before their relationship turned romantic. In 2011 the pair discovered their professional bond when Grant surprised Reeves with a book called Ode to Happiness, which combined his own writing with her illustrations.

September 24, 2025: Reaves and Grant are halting the spread of misinformation with a kiss. After receiving congratulatory messages about a wedding that did not take place, Grant took to Instagram to set the record straight while sharing a sweet PDA moment captured by photographer Brian Skope at Roden Crater.
“This is a real photo. Not an engagement photo or an AI wedding announcement... simply a kiss!" she captioned the image, though she admits it might have been taken a split-second before or after the smooch “given the slightly goofy expressions on our faces!”
She continued, “I’m sharing it here to say thank you to everyone for the congratulations on our wedding. Except we didn’t get married. Good news is much needed these days, but it’s still fake news, so be careful out there! So, here’s a bit of real happiness!”

September 22, 2025: Reeves’s publicist denies wedding rumors in a statement, per E! News. “It is not true. They are not married,” the rep says.
September 17, 2025: A Keanu Reeves fan account on Instagram announces that the couple have wed, eventually sharing AI-generated wedding photos alongside their reports.
September 3, 2025: Grant wishes Reeves a happy birthday on Instagram with a photo of a heart-shaped “Keanu” cake. “Thank you to everyone for sending over sweet wishes for Keanu’s birthday yesterday…he was well-celebrated!” she captioned the image, reminding everyone that Reeves is not on social media.

February 24, 2025: Reeves tells E! News that Grant has “been on a couple of trips” on his motorcycle and has “enjoyed it.” For example, the pair were photographed riding together while attending the Liqui Moly Motorrad Grand Prix in July 2024.
December 16, 2024: Reeves and Grant get all dressed up for the premiere of his animated film Sonic the Hedgehog 3. Reeves confirms it’s “date night,” telling Entertainment Tonight, “We got dolled up and it was very exciting and just kind of nerve-wracking in the car, getting out. It’s really special to be side by side.”

May 4, 2024: Another art-themed date night in the books for Reeves and Grant! Attending the Hammer Museum Gala in Los Angeles, Grant and Reeves both opted for more casual ’fits than usual. This time Grant paired silky teal pants with a matching leather jacket and white shirt, while Reeves went for a suede suit with a comfortable zip-up underneath. He topped off the look with the same work boots and scarf that he wore to the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) Gala the previous month.
April 14, 2024: Reeves and Grant make their yearly trip to the MOCA Gala, where they shared a sweet kiss in front of the cameras. Grant was dressed in a teal cutout gown with her hair in a braided updo, while Reeves wore a navy suit, gray scarf, and brown suede work boots.

According to the insider, the pair are officially living together. “Everyone just loves her. They live together and often have friends over for dinner,” the source says. “Keanu is very happy.”
November 4, 2023: Reeves and Grant hold hands at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s Art+Film Gala. Both dressed in Gucci; the artist wore a cap-sleeve black gown with a literal keyhole cutout while the actor wore a dapper black suit and bowtie.
September 22, 2023: Grant calls Reeves her “inspiration” at the Los Angeles Beverly Arts Icon Awards. After hitting the red carpet solo, the honoree told People, “The good news about falling in love as an adult is that I had built my own career by the time that my relationship had begun. I feel very confident in the relationship on the red carpet. I feel confident on it alone. It’s interdependent and independent in the best ways.”
Reeves missed the event to perform with his band, according to Grant. “I’m really proud,” she said. “I am a huge Dogstar fan. I had the great pleasure of going to their first public show and because I’ve been listening to the latest album for quite some time, I was one of the only people in the audience who knew all the lyrics. That was really cool. It’s fun. It’s beyond fun.”
