It’s been years since Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet crossed paths at Paris Fashion Week in 2023, and while rumors of a link up were initially met with skepticism, they’re now well on their way to being America’s unlikeliest sweethearts.
And while they’re two of the most famous people on the planet, they’ve also kept it lowkey enough that Chalamet’s Marty Supreme costar, the perennially surprised Gwyneth Paltrow, had no idea who his girlfriend was when they made the film.
“Everyone makes fun of me because I don’t know anything,” Paltrow admitted in a British Vogue interview. “I was like, ‘Do you have a girlfriend?’ And he was like, ‘I do.’ He mentioned that she had kids and I was like, ‘That’s so cool. I really love to hear that [from] a young man like you.’”
“I understand a 45-year-old who has his own kids going out with a woman with kids, but it’s a cool choice to go out with a young woman who has two kids,” she continued. “I respect it. I think it’s kind of punk rock. But my point is I didn’t know [it was] Kylie Jenner…”
The best advertisement for their relationship is their obvious joy in one another’s company, which is evident at every event they attend together (here’s all their award show and red carpet looks as a couple). And perhaps none will be so joyous as when Chalamet (probably) wins his first Oscar for Marty Supreme at the 2026 upcoming Academy Awards in March. We predict they sit together, but she won’t walk the carpet. And if he takes the trophy, she’s definitely getting a shout-out.

January 12, 2026: Chalamet posts pictures from the Globes to Instagram to celebrate his win, many of which seem to have been taken by Jenner. In the first photo, you can also see her hand (peep the long nails) holding onto his statuette. This counts as going IG official! See the slideshow here.
January 11, 2026: The pair attend the Golden Globe Awards together, where Chalamet continues his winning streak and thanks Jenner from the stage. Jenner uses the moment to snap a pic of her boyfriend.
January 4, 2026: Ending his acceptance speech for best actor at the Critics Choice Awards, Chalamet says, “And lastly, I’ll just say, thank you to my partner of three years. Thank you for our foundation. I love you.”
The camera then cut to Jenner, who mouthed “I love you” in return.
2025
Christmas 2025: Timothée’s name is added to the Kardashian family’s gingerbread house.
December 8, 2025: Kylothée saw Justin and Britney’s denim outfits and said “bet.” At the premiere of Marty Supreme, the pair turned up in matching orange outfits that quickly went viral, even inspiring a spoof homage from two Hacks stars.
August 15, 2025: After not being seen together for weeks, rumors of a split abound, but a source clarifies to People that they’re just really busy. Chalamet is in Budapest filming the third Dune film, while Jenner has back-to-school mom duties in Los Angeles.
“She visited him in July,” the insider said. “Even though Kylie has a private jet, the flight is still 12 hours.… They’re making it work though. They FaceTime most days. They miss each other and are totally fine.”
May 7, 2025: Jenner and Chalamet make their red carpet debut in Rome, where Chalamet collects the David di Donatello Award for Cinematic Excellence for A Complete Unknown.
April 12, 2025: Deux Moi shares photos of Jenner and Chalamet walking hand in hand at Coachella. Later in the evening, they’re spotted making out .
March 2, 2025: Kylothée takes the Oscars! After Chalamet walks the red carpet solo, Jenner joins the best actor nominee inside. Though Jenner sat next to Chalamet for most of the evening, she swapped seats with his mom, Nicole Flender, so she could sit next to her son for the announcement of his category. The award ended up going to Adrien Brody.

He’s part of the family now, though. Her kids know him as a ‘friend.’ Her relationship with him is great and very easy.”
December 23, 2024: Per Page Six, the stars had a “magical” holiday with her two kids. “They had a really nice dinner together with Kylie’s family, and they drove around to look at Christmas lights.… The kids had a really magical time, and Kylie and Timothée made some very special memories together.”
“Timothée not only got Kylie gifts, but also got some for the kids, which Kylie thought was so sweet and thoughtful,” added their source. “Kylie and Timothée are both going to be with their families for Christmas, but they’re going to stay connected despite being apart” via “FaceTiming, texting, and calling.”
“Kylie and Timothée are constantly in communication even when they’re apart. Their relationship is stronger than ever, and they deeply care for one another,” the source continued, explaining that they “love each other very much” and are “enjoying keeping things out of the spotlight as much as possible for the time being, especially since so much of their lives are in the public eye. Later, amateur lip readers begin speculating that Selena Gomez was denied a selfie with her former costar, Chalamet, by Jenner. Both Gomez and Chalamet claimed they had no interaction with one another during the ceremony.

December 24, 2023: Chalamet appears to attend the Kardashians’ annual Christmas Eve party. In the background of a Snapchat photo shared by Travis Barker’s son, Landon, a man who looks suspiciously like the Wonka actor can be seen leaning in to chat with Jenner.
December 10, 2023: Instead of joining Chalamet on the Wonka red carpet, the reality star and her mom sneak into the Los Angeles premiere through the back door. According to photos and video shared by the Daily Mail, Kylie wore a formfitting black turtleneck dress to her boyfriend’s big night, matching his black turtleneck look. She’s at the after-party for the London premiere too.
December 4, 2023: A source tells People that Jenner is ready to call Chalamet “her boyfriend.” The source says she is “incredibly happy…He is very good for Kylie. Since dating him, she seems very content, relaxed, and focused. Her family loves him.”
For Chalamet’s part, the source says he is “in awe of everything she is accomplishing” and “especially thinks she is an amazing mom.”
November 12, 2023: Jenner attends the Saturday Night Live after-party following Chalamet’s hosting gig.

Paparazzi tell Page Six that makeup mogul spends “upwards of six days a week” at Chalamet’s place. “Kylie and Timothée have been spending much more time together and they’re growing much closer as the days go by,” a source tells Us Weekly . “Some of Kylie’s family members have met Timothée, including Kris and Kendall. They really like him and think he’s different from anybody Kylie has dated in the past.”
May 25, 2023: Jenner’s black Range Rover is spotted leaving Chalamet’s Beverly Hills home just a few minutes after arriving around 10 a.m.
One uncharacteristically “quiet” look is a coincidence. But three?
April 19, 2023: Per an Us Weekly report, Jenner hopes Chalamet will help her move on from her ex and the father of her two children, Travis Scott. “Kylie thinks Timothée is really sweet and she does see potential,” says a source. “Kylie knows she and Travis will always be in each other’s lives, and they have an amazing co-parenting relationship. Part of her dating Timothée is in hopes of moving on from Travis, but that hasn’t happened yet.”
Meanwhile, a “Jenner source” tells People that they “hang out every week” but adds, “It’s not serious.” The entire KarJenner brood wants her to “move on” from Scott. “Everyone in the family is happy and supportive of Kylie dating,” the source said.
April 17, 2023: A source confirms to ET that this is real. “They are keeping things casual at this point,” the source said. “It’s not serious, but Kylie is enjoying hanging out with Timothée and seeing where it goes. It’s been really fun for her because it feels a lot different than her past relationships. It’s new and exciting for Kylie and she’s having a lot of fun.”
April 14, 2023: A source tells People that Jenner and Chalamet “are hanging out and getting to know each other.”
April 13, 2023: TMZ publishes photos of Jenner’s black Range Rover in the driveway of Chalamet’s house in Beverly Hills. The Daily Mail reports that the pair had a “secret date night” in Los Angeles, picking up dinner from Tito’s Tacos.
April 6, 2023: Deux Moi breaks the news about Kylothée, writing, “NEW COUPLE ALERT,” with one of its anonymous sources claiming to have known about the couple since January. The situation breaks everyone’s brains.
