Malala Yousafzai is many things: a Glamour Women of the Year honoree, a Nobel Peace Prize winner, an activist, and a revered author. Now, at 22-years-old, Yousafzai has added Oxford graduate to that growing list.
The activist shared the news along with a couple of joyous family photos on Twitter and Instagram on the evening of June 18.
“Hard to express my joy and gratitude right now as I completed my Philosophy, Politics and Economics degree at Oxford,” she wrote on Twitter. "I don’t know what’s ahead. For now, it will be Netflix, reading, and sleep.

On Instagram Stories, the activist shared another celebratory image before asking her followers for TV recommendations. Confetti covered in the photo, she shared her completed checklist, noting she finished her Oxford exams, is “currently unemployed," plans to sleep “for days,” and is in need of new shows to watch.
Back in 2017, Yousafzai began her studies at the elite U.K. university. “5 years ago, I was shot in an attempt to stop me from speaking out for girls' education,” she tweeted at the time. “Today, I attend my first lectures at Oxford.”

Yousafzai was shot in the head by members of the Taliban in 2012 for fighting for girls' rights to education in Pakistan. She documented her story in the memoir I Am Malala a year later before being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014. Yousafzai was also the subject of the documentary He Named Me Malala.
As the Girls' Hero honoree for the 2013 Women of the Year Awards, Yousafzai spoke to Glamour about finding the courage to stand up for girls and the importance of education. "Those people who stop us from getting education, they are afraid of educated and powerful women," Yousafzai said in the video. "When the Taliban shot me, they thought that the other girls who are speaking for their rights would also stop. They thought that they would spread fear, terror, but they failed."
