Everyone, we are almost at the end of an era.
Margot Robbie and her stylist Andrew Mukamal have been blessing us with Barbie-inspired looks at red carpet after red carpet for nearly a full year, and the world has been better for it. But Robbie only has the 2024 SAG Awards and the Academy Awards left on her press tour for the film, so we will soon bid adieu to her Barbiecore fits.
So of course Robbie had to deliver for her penultimate outing. The actor arrived at the 2024 SAG Awards red carpet in a Schiaparelli Couture minidress with a sculptural Barbie-pink sash. While this look doesn’t appear to be a reference to a specific Barbie doll, the color scheme is on point.
Robbie was nominated for best actress for her role in Barbie at the awards, one of four awards the film was up for overall. It was also nominated in the prestigious best cast category but lost to Oppenheimer.
And while Margot Robbie is not competing at the Academy Awards in the lead actress category, she’s not letting that rain on her award season.
“Obviously I think Greta [Gerwig] should be nominated as a director, because what she did is a once-in-a-career, once-in-a-lifetime thing, what she pulled off, it really is,” Robbie told Deadline.“But it’s been an incredible year for all the films.”
If there was a best red-carpet season award, though, Robbie would be a lock.
