Meghan Markle and Prince Harry welcomed their son, Archie, on Monday, May 6. And true to their reputation, the royal couple has kept a relatively low profile since this big event, only appearing together at a handful of engagements.
But from what we've seen, parenting looks good on them: At every event the Duke and Duchesses of Sussex have attended since becoming a mom and dad, they're absolutely beaming. Sure, that could be the product of being well-media-trained, but the inner sap in me wants to believe Archie has something to do with it.
Just look at their (rare) quotes about parenting as proof. Every interview Markle and Prince Harry have given about Baby Archie is basically dripping in sunshine. "It’s magic. It’s pretty amazing. I have the best two guys in the world, so I’m really happy," Markle said during a chat back in May. Meanwhile, Prince Harry said in that same interview, "It’s been great. Parenting is amazing."
So is this why Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are glowing in all the pics below? Maybe. Regardless, I can't wait for their next appearance. Until then, here are all the cute moments the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have shared in public since becoming parents.
This is when we finally met Baby Archie for the first time. "It has only been, what, two and a half, three days…. We are just so thrilled to have our own bundle of joy and to be able to spend some precious time as he slowly starts to grow up," Prince Harry told reporters at the time.
The @SussexRoyal Instagram account published a post about the photo-call, writing, "Today The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are delighted to share their first public moment as a family. They are so incredibly grateful for the warm wishes and support they’ve received from everyone around the world, since welcoming their son two days ago."
“He’s just been a dream,” Markle said.“It’s been a special couple of days.”
Markle and Prince Harry took a break from the spotlight after Archie's photo-call and returned in early June for Trooping the Colour. The duchess looked chic, obviously, in a navy midi-length dress and matching hat. Prince Harry wore a dress military uniform.
According to a report from Us Weekly, Archie did attend Trooping the Colour but stayed out of the spotlight. “The reason Harry and Meghan didn’t appear on the balcony when the Queen returned back to Buckingham Palace was because she was breast-feeding," an insider told the magazine.
A source also told Us that Markle was sad about leaving Archie that day, even for a short period of time. “She has spent almost every moment with him and saying goodbye was very difficult,” they said. "But Meghan truly wanted to be at the celebration for the queen. …Meghan loved seeing all the other royal children and was doting on them."
When the Major League Baseball Association hosted its first game ever in Europe, it was only natural the duke and duchess show up. Markle and Prince Harry took a break from parenting to attend a Yankees–Red Sox game in London, and they walked away with a pretty adorable jersey for Archie.
This was the event where fans captured footage of Prince Harry where it seemed he was ignoring Markle as she tried to talk to him. Obviously, this was convoluted; if you actually watch the video, it looks like Prince Harry just didn't hear Markle. They were at a noisy baseball game, after all.
From the smiles they had all day, it didn't seem like anyone was mad.
Sadly, we have only two official photos from the christening: the group family shots, and a stunning black-and-white pic of Markle, Prince Harry, and Archie.
Need we remind you of all the wild rumors that emerged following this christening—like the one about Kate Middleton trying to "upstage" Markle with Princess Diana's earrings? Or the way Middleton and Prince William looked in the pics? It's all a bunch of nonsense, so let's just move on.
Markle took Baby Archie to cheer on Prince Harry at the King Power Royal Charity Polo Match, which took place in Berkshire. It was an affair for the whole family, as Prince William was competing too. Kate Middleton and Markle were photographed together taking in the festivities with their children closely in tow.
Markle kept Archie covered in a blanket for a good portion of the event, presumably to keep him as protected from the paparazzi as possible.
Just a normal family outing, ya know?
We last saw Markle and Prince Harry together at the London premiere of The Lion King, where they infamously met Beyoncé and set the entire Internet ablaze.

Their attire was sleek and, again, chic. They were in the presence of Queen B, after all.
Baby Archie sat this one out, but I'm sure they'll have a family Lion King movie night soon.
