We have yet to see a color that Olandria Carthen doesn’t look incredible in, but for the Golden Globes in 2026, at least, this former Islander’s color is definitely green.
Carthen arrived on the red carpet on January 11 wearing emerald green Christian Siriano, which showed off every curve, and generally stopped all viewers right in their tracks. But who would have expected any less?
The gown itself has a trumpet silhouette, with a dramatic flared skirt at the bottom and a boned, corset-style bodice. The layered neckline, with the bust peeking out from behind, imitates this season’s hottest red-carpet trend, the semi-visible bra. Carthen styled her gown with diamonds from jewelry brands A.Jaffe, Anabela Chan, and Anayah. (Like, have you seen that diamond collar necklace?) She wore her hair in a chic twisted chignon at the nape of her neck and kept her makeup equally classic Old Hollywood glamour.
While the glam is vintage Tinsel Town, Carthen seems to be taking at least some of her Golden Globes style cues from Elphaba of Wicked. A few days prior, at Golden Eve on January 6, she wore a Seven Dejana gown with elaborate beaded green embroidery on both the sculptural bodice and the sheer black skirt. Tying the whole look together was a bright green sash at the hip, which ended in a long train. “Soft glam, strong presence,” Carthen wrote over her own Instagram post of the look.
Nic Vansteenberghe, the man who puts the “Nic” in “Nicolandria,” was not present on the Golden Globes carpet alongside his girlfriend, but Olandria Carthen is clearly more than capable of dominating a red carpet all on her own, thankyouverymuch.
