Oscars 2019: The Complete List of Nominees

Sadly, no women were nominated in the Best Director category.

The 2019 Oscars ceremony is about a month away, and we just learned all the nominees this morning. If you've been keeping up with awards season, this year's slate of contenders shouldn't surprise you. Black Panther, A Star Is Born, Roma, The Favourite, and Green Book all earned Best Picture nominations, as well as nods in other big categories. Little Monsters will be pleased to learn Lady Gaga's turn as Ally in A Star Is Born earned her a Best Actress nomination, but they might be disappointed at the Best Director snub for Bradley Cooper. (He did earn a nomination for Best Actor, though, so there's a silver lining.) Sadly, no female directors were included in the Best Director race this year, even though there were plenty of heavy hitters, like Josie Rourke for Mary Queen of Scots and Marielle Heller for Can You Ever Forgive Me?
