Sadie Sink is embracing her inner Sporty Spice, despite her ginger hair. The Stranger Things star was recently spotted in west London layering a gray coat over striped track pants and athletic shoes, basically ready for a game of soccer—or footie, as the Brits would call it.
Sink is across the pond preparing for her West End debut as the titular ingenue in Romeo & Juliet, which opens in March. On January 31 paps caught her looking for her driver, and she had apparently matched her outfit to London’s notoriously overcast skies. Gray overcoat, gray scarf, gray shirt underneath. Sorry, this is Britain. We should say “gray.”
The track pants are a nice change of pace from the American uniform of jeans for any casual occasion, without going all the way to sweatpants. And they're easier to slip in and out of when you're trying things on, making them a great choice for a shopping day.
Sadie Sink is thriving in London, where she’s been living since partway through last year while filming a movie. In November she opened up to Glamour about navigating the city, saying, “I really love London. It’s grown on me a lot. At first I was really missing New York, but now that I’ve figured out the Tube, I’m good. I feel like, Okay, I’ve got experience.”
She also compared her relatively isolated life to the experience of starring in John Proctor Is the Villain in New York, and is enjoying the contrast, adding, “It was just so much socializing. Everyone’s always like, ‘Are you bored alone in London? You don’t really know anyone there.’ But honestly, I am thriving. I could do this for the rest of the year.”
When in doubt, she really does tap into her athletic side, noting, “I usually go to SoulCycle because there’s always a SoulCycle in most major cities. That always makes me feel at home…. That was the first thing I did when I went to London. I was like, Okay, just go to SoulCycle. You’ll feel right at home. And it did. It helped a lot.”
