Send your love and congratulations Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost's way today, because the actor's publicist just confirmed to the Associated Press that the couple are engaged.
The rep says that no date has been set yet for a wedding, and given how private the couple is—by Hollywood standards, at least—we likely won't hear many more details until the big day. Aside from walking the Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame red carpets together and a few cameos from ScarJo on Saturday Night Live, where Jost is a head writer and "Weekend Update" anchor, they rarely address their relationship in the public eye.
It's seems to be going well, though; one of the few times Jost has talked about his relationship with Johansson, he told E! News at the Emmys she's "pretty cool."
"It's hard to have a lot of complaints," he added. "She's pretty awesome."
We know their relationship started some time before May 2017, which is when they were spotted engaging in PDA at a Saturday Night Live wrap party. A source told E! News at the time that they were "hooking up" and it had "been going on for a bit" by that point.
This will be the first wedding for Jost, 36. Johansson, 34, has been married twice before, to actor Ryan Reynolds in 2008 and journalist Romain Dauriac in 2013. She and Dauriac have a daughter, Rose, together.
“Scarlett and Colin are in love and share many of the same interests and the same sense of humor,” a source told People recently, adding, “Scarlett is very happy.”
Wedding planning is just one more thing Johansson and Jost have to add to their already busy plates. Jost is deep in the trenches with SNL while Johansson has four projects in the works, according to IMDb. You can still catch her in Avengers: Endgame now.
