It's been almost two years since we've had new episodes of Netflix's The Crown—but that all changed Sunday, November 17, when the streaming platform dropped season three into our feeds.

The show picks up in the 1960s with Olivia Colman stepping into the role of Queen Elizabeth, taking over for Claire Foy. There's a nod to this change in the first episode, when the queen is looking at postage stamps of her younger self and then calls herself an "old bat." The rest of the cast is new, as well, with Helena Bonham Carter as the queen's sister, Princess Margaret, and Tobias Menzies (of Outlander fame) as her husband, Prince Philip. “It’s a bit like changing contact lenses,” creator Peter Morgan told Entertainment Weekly about adjusting to new actors in the roles. “I think it takes you about five minutes to get used to it.” And Colman joked about taking over for the very popular Foy. “It’s horrendous,” she said. “Everyone loves Claire Foy, so I have got the worst job in the world at the moment. You’re saying all the worst things, thanks!”
