You may know Tinx—or Christina Najjar, if you're fancy—as the authority on “rich mom” content. Or maybe she's your salad or breakup guru. She's a woman of many talents, and no matter how you know her, chances are she's crossed your TikTok For You page in the past week.
It's a pandemic fairy tale as old as time. Tinx was writing freelance and doing consulting work when the world shut down. Left with nothing to do, she downloaded a little app called TikTok, and made her first video about a Kardashian-favorite salad. Flash-forward to 2022, and she has 1.5 million followers on the app, countless spon-con deals under her belt—including her own Chipotle burrito bowl—and an advice podcast on Sirius FM.
Unlike other TikTok phenomena like Dalgona coffee and the Renegade dance, Tinx has serious staying power. Her followers look to her for pretty much everything: what to eat, what to wear, and of course, what to put on their skin. “I'm a product girlie, and I'm a skin-care junkie,” she tells Glamour. “I have always loved skin care. I think for me, if I have good skin, I feel so much more confident.”
Tinx knows she's a little extra, and she's okay with that. “I just moved, and I was moving my skin care and I didn't let the movers go in my bathroom because it was all so sacred to me,” she says. “I had to hand-carry it all across to my house because I was like, ‘I need it all.’” While she has her core routine, she adjusts it depending on where she is and what her skin's doing. While she's curated these routines mostly through the help of her army of facialists and through old-fashioned trial and error, she's never met a recommendation she didn't like.
“I am the girl who's reading all the comments on skin-care TikTok,” Tinx says. “Anyone who follows me knows I love a good recommendation. A good recommendation is worth its weight in gold. Ideally we can try everything, but the best-case scenario is that someone says, ‘Oh, I had acne and it worked so well for me. You should try it.’ And I think that's why I take my product recs so seriously.”
That being said, Tinx is very tuned in to her skin and understands that some things are out of her control. “I have combination skin. I break out really badly when I'm stressed, especially on my chin,” she says. “That's hormonal. Anything that's going on inside of us just shows up on our face. It's actually a great clue as to what's going on in our body. I also get rosacea sometimes. Obviously my absolute addiction to spicy food does not help, but I'm unwilling to give that up, so that triggers my red face sometimes. So a little bit of everything, as I think most people do. So few people are just like, ‘Yeah, my skin's good.’”
The one area she refuses to compromise? Aging. “My philosophy with skin care and aging is: Do not go gentle into that good night,” she says. “I'm not going to age gracefully. I'm like, y'all are going to have to drag me kicking and screaming.” Below, Tinx lets us in on her antiaging favorites, as well as the tools, masks, and serums she can't live without.

My cleansers
My favorite cleanser is the Tracie Martyn Amla Cleanser. I've used that for six or seven years now. It is a little bit pricey, but I absolutely love it—it's such a good cleanser. I also like the Almay makeup wipes; they really work for me. Sometimes if I have a heavy glam on, I'll use the Burt's Bees Sensitive Facial Towelettes, because they have aloe, and I feel like when you're taking off a big amount of makeup, you just want to be gentle because it's already so much stress on your skin. I do like those little face wipies.
My toners
I love M-61. Those little peel pads are so amazing. I don't do those every day, just when I feel like my skin needs it. And then I've also recently gotten into this Furtuna Skin Micellar Cleansing Essence; it's a toner and it kind of acts as a double cleanse, but it also tones. It's absolutely phenomenal. Furtuna skin is a new brand that I'm just getting into. I work with this facialist, Candace Marino—she's phenomenal and she turned me onto them.
My exfoliants
In addition to the pads, I love the Kora Organics Turmeric Exfoliating Mask; it's really good. It smells really good and it's really clean. I have to say, I've recommended that a lot. It's a good thing to have in your arsenal. Even if you only do it once every two weeks, it's a really good mask. I also love the Tracie Martyn Enzyme Exfoliant.
My serums
Here's where the expensive stuff comes in. And listen, I always tell people, you would never comment on a guy buying a watch or a car. I put my money in my skin care; that is where I like to invest. So I love the Dr. Devgan vitamin C serum. It's has vitamins C, E, and B. It's really good. I've used it for many years. Everybody knows Dr. Devgan does my Botox, and she's a doctor, but she's not only a plastic surgeon: She's also a woman and a mom and a scientist, and I think that's why her products works so well. I also use her retinol. I was really afraid to start using retinol just because a lot of people break out [using it], but I love her retinol. I love her hyaluronic serum too.
My moisturizers
If I'm having a red [irritation] day, I'll use the Burt's Bees Sensitive Skin Calming Lotion. When I'm having one of those really big, rosacea-broken-capillary vibes, I just need to totally keep it simple. I also love the Sonya Dakar Stem Cell Transformer, and her Blue Butterfly Balm to just seal it all in. One thing that I'm actually kind of interested in and I haven't tried it yet is slugging. It's now a whole new, big thing on skin-care TikTok, where you're supposed to do all your products and then put a heavier thing on top so they all sink in. So I'm going to explore that too.
My eye cream
I love the Furtuna skin one, it's so light and fluffy, and it comes with this little scooper. And here's the cool thing about this: The scooper is magnetic to the lid, which I just think is the most clever detail. Us skin-care girlies, if you have one of those tiny little shovels, you always lose it, but this one sticks to the lid. So good for you, Furtuna Skin!
My sunscreen
I like the Super Goop Unseen Sunscreen; it goes on clear. It's the only one that doesn't interfere with my makeup and I love it.
My tools
I love my Skinny Confidential ice roller. I'm a puffer—I always tell my followers, some of us are just sensitive to salt. I look in the direction of soy sauce, and I'm puffy the next day. So I really love that tool, and I'll do that in the morning. I have a ReFa; it's a silver roller tool. Literally anything to help de-puff the face, I absolutely love. The ReFa is quite relaxing. I do that when I wake up and I keep that in the fridge too.
My masks
I'm known for being obsessed with undereye gels. I don't know if it's just more of a happy ritual for me now, but I absolutely love those. And I love a sheet mask. I'm obsessed with Dr. Jart. I think that they make incredible sheet masks. I do a sheet mask of some form almost every day. I think it's so relaxing.
My spot treatment
If I break out, I like the Sonya Dakar spot treatment. It's a little drying lotion, and you dab it on overnight. The other trick that I have is actually the Tracie Martyn enzyme mask that I mentioned before. I use that as a spot treatment. I dab a little on before I go to bed and it dries it out really gently.
Listen, I am not perfect. I'm a picker. It's so hard when you see a zit. I get obsessed. Sometimes I get such bad zits—and I tell my followers this—I actually have to get cortisone shots because they're so large, it's a lump in my face. But you have to be careful with those because they can leave pockmarks in your face. But I always try to remind my followers what you see on Instagram is not the whole story. A lot of the time I'll have makeup on or whatever. I break out just like everybody else. It's an uphill battle. I really thought acne was something I was going to leave in my teenage years. But here I am, age 30, still dealing with it.
My treatments
I love facials. Like I said, I'm so lucky to see Candace, I see Sonya Dakar, and in New York I go to Tracie Martyn. There's just nothing like a full, deep clean, getting those clogs out. I'm really interested in doing some lasers. I was going to do one this December with Dr. Devgan, but my skin was so broken out that we decided not to because I was really stressed out. But hey, literally, I would drink mud if you told me it would make my skin better. So never say never.
