There’s no shortage of skin care products to calm and transform your skin while you sleep, and as someone who writes about beauty for a living, I’ve tried more than my fair share. But every now and then, one actually delivers—the viral Medicube Collagen Overnight Mask being one of them.
ICYMI, Medicube is a Korean skin care brand known for its results-driven formulas that induce glass-like skin, as well as skin care devices (think the Kylie Jenner–approved Medicube Age-R Booster).
Their collagen-infused Korean face mask is formulated to give you plumper, smoother, glowier skin overnight—perhaps this is why it has been doing the rounds on my TikTok For You Page for a while now—and has even been said to have garnered approval from the skin care queen herself (read Hailey Bieber). Pretty much all the confirmation I needed to make the investment, TBH.
Of course, you don’t need to be so frivolous. While Amazon Prime Day 2025 can certainly save you some money (the peel-off mask is reduced from $19 to $14 RN), we still don’t encourage impulse purchases that won’t serve bang for your buck. So, I’ve taken it upon myself to test, try, and score. Keep reading.
The Medicube Collagen Night Wrapping Mask, at a glance
- Tested by: Shani Cohen, Glamour UK beauty commerce writer
- Price: $14 (down from $20) in the Amazon Prime Day sale—live now until July 11
- Best for: Dull, dehydrated, or tired-looking skin that needs a boost overnight
- Key ingredients: Marine collagen, low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid, peptides, niacinamide, Centella asiatica, ceramides
- Pros: Deeply hydrating; plumps and smooths skin; layers well over other products; no pillow transfer
- Cons: Doesn’t fully peel off like it does in some TikToks—expect to rinse in the morning
- My verdict: This is one of the few viral products that’s actually earned a spot in my routine. My skin looks fresher, bouncier, and more even after just a couple of uses—and at this discounted price, it’s well worth a try.
The formula
Ingredient-wise, it’s packed with heavy hitters. You’ve got marine collagen to improve elasticity, hyaluronic acid for deep hydration, niacinamide to brighten and help with tone, peptides to support firmness, and Centella asiatica to soothe—basically, it ticks every skin care box. It’s also fragrance-free and doesn’t clog pores, so it’s a great pick for sensitive or breakout-prone skin too.
How I tested
I’ve been using the collagen face mask for two weeks now—just a couple of nights a week, applying it over my usual night-time favorites Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Cream and Medik8’s Crystal Retinal—and my skin is thanking me for it.
I usually suffer from dry, flaky skin—especially during the winter—but since adding the Korean must-have to my routine two to three times a week, my skin feels more hydrated and I’ve noticed fewer dry patches and a more even texture overall. It’s softer, more hydrated, and while those little fine lines across my forehead and around my eyes have not completely gone, they are definitely less noticeable. It’s the kind of product that makes you do a double-take in the mirror in the morning, in a good way.
The texture is jelly-like but lightweight, and feels instantly cooling when you apply it. It smooths over the skin easily and dries down within about 20 minutes into a thin, glassy layer (think an original glazed Krispy Kreme effect). It does feel a bit tight once it sets—not in a dry or an uncomfortable way, but you definitely notice it. That said, it doesn’t transfer onto your pillow, which I love, especially when I’ve layered it over my usual skin care.
My only small complaint? While it looks like it peels off in one satisfying swoop on TikTok, that hasnt quite been the case for me. The edges come away easily enough, but there’s always some residue left behind that needs a few splashes of water to fully rinse off. To be fair, the instructions do recommend this, so I wasn’t too disappointed. But, if you’re expecting that therapeutic, full-face peel moment, it may not be the one for you.
