As temperatures continue to rise, we’re turning up the heat on our summer manicures. Our latest obsession? Guava glazed nails. Pastel colors, glossy finishes, and creative designs have long been essentials of the warm season, but this summer, the tropical shimmery look could become our new favorite. Guava glazed nails, made popular by Vanessa Hudgens, have emerged as the latest trend to combine three of our favorite nail designs.

Hudgens showed off her guava glazed nails in an Instagram post sharing her second pregnancy. In the photo her nails shine in rose and a summery yellow, with the colors blending into one another. The glazed finish adds a summery, fresh, and totally elegant touch—just the right balance for a striking everyday look.

Most notably, the look combines three popular nails trends. First, Hudgens opted for modern long almond nails, a shape that’s elegant and visually lengthens the fingers. It also uses the chrome glaze effect—inspired by the glazed donut nails trend à la Hailey Bieber. The similarities between Hudgens’s and Bieber’s nails makes sense given that they share the same nail artist, Zola Ganzorigt.

Lastly, the manicure features the fruit-inspired beauty trend of the summer: guava. A soft gradient of pink and pastel yellow creates a summery, slightly tropical look that’s perfect for beach days and vacation getaways.
