Few cities influence style more than Paris, and with the latest Paris Fashion Week officially in the rearview mirror, a fresh trove of ideas has arrived for spring. It’s not just the runways that set fashion trends, though, the stylish crowds attending the shows offer just as much inspiration for what to wear right now. The mood this season was sporty and vibrant, with athletic details (funnel necks, slim sneakers) and bold color blocking (rich red, pool blue) reigning supreme. Ready to breathe new life into your spring wardrobe? Here are five Paris Fashion Week street style trends we’re shopping—and wearing absolutely everywhere—right now.

1. Funnel necks

While this trend is nothing especially new—we’ve been tracking it since early last fall—it’s only getting better as it grows into its staying power. Countless Fashion Week showgoers styled their collars standing up, and the effect was universally chic. The detail makes even simple outfits feel considered; see above. And the good news is that it’s easier than ever to buy in right now, should you be in the market for a perfect spring jacket.

2. Next-level layering

One smart way to reenergize your current capsule wardrobe is to upgrade your layering skills. And Paris Fashion Week street style had so many starting points: Stack two tees in interesting colors, let a shirt peek out from under a sculptural blazer, or wear a short dress over long pants. When you start to see your closet in this light, you’ll unlock so many outfits you might never have discovered otherwise.

Styling tip: Even the tiniest hints of layering—say, a tank top over a tee or a shirt hem peeking out of the bottom of a sweater—can upgrade an outfit. Plus, this trick is great for mercurial spring weather.

3. Statement skirts

Searching for a way to add some intrigue to your look in about 30 seconds flat? Take a cue from the Paris crowds and throw on a statement skirt. While we spotted out-there details like grommets and animal prints, all you really need to stand out is a little twist—a delicious color, a graphic print, or a modular scarf. It’s almost too easy.

Styling tip: Take your pick to the office with a button-down shirt, crew socks, and slim loafers. For date night, try a tank top, a blazer, and kitten heels.

4. Sporty spice

One street style trend we’ve been tracking since New York Fashion Week is the rise in sport-inspired dressing. These outfits aren’t exactly ready for the gym, though. Instead, they remix athletic motifs—polo collars, cargo pockets, sleek nylon, cinched hems, side stripes—into effortless looks that feel refreshingly elevated. Drop the leggings and sports bra set; the new off-duty look is a track jacket, a stretchy top, and track pants.

Styling tip: This is a great place to explore color blocking in a fun, fresh way. Introduce eye-catching shades via layered tops or candy-colored sneakers.

5. Turquoise blue

While other spring color trends—including tomato red and emerald green—have a bit more of a foothold out in the world, this one is just starting to take off. (Translation: This is your chance to get in on the ground floor.) Turquoise, aqua, cerulean—whatever your preferred nickname for this energetic shade of blue is, it popped up in Paris on dresses, socks, and jackets. It’s also a key player in Chanel’s just-landed spring collection, so expect it to trickle down quickly this season.

Styling tip: Ground the color in black, cream, and butter yellow to make it a little easier to style—or go bold and try lemon, grass green, or purple.
